Financial Assistance

DIRECT FINANCING PAYMENT PLANS

The Art of Makeup is now offering tuition financing options to those needing payment assistance for any of our Certificate Programs. Approved applications will be awarded a contract and applicants will then be eligible to set up an account and make monthly payments online. Maximum term is up to one year. Kits are not eligible for financing. All approved contracts are administered by an independent service provider. Successfully completing a payment plan is a great way to establish or improve credit history.

How to Apply:

If you are interested to see what kind of financing payment plan terms you are qualified for, please email us and request our Application for Credit form.
After reviewing your application, if qualified, we will send you a contract with the terms that you are approved for. Completed applications must be returned no later than 45 days prior to the start date of the Certificate Program you wish to enroll. All financing policies are in compliance with the Truth In Lending Act (TILA).

CREDIT UNION & BANK LOANS

Personal loans are available at private banking institutions and credit unions.

Credit unions are non-profit and community based and are thus able to offer competitive loan products. Credit unions offer a variety of low-interest long-term personal loans and are more flexible to work with, rather than, for example, a bigger financial or banking institution. A personal loan would exclusively be directly between the student/borrower and the lender and would cover ALL education related costs (tuition AND kits). Credit union loans are popular because it is possible to get extended terms (up to 6 years years), meaning the monthly payments would be reduced to a budget you are comfortable with (contingent on eligibility, credit history, etc). You can also add a co-signer for easier qualification.

Here are a few local Credit Union referrals:

These are just a few local referrals that some students have had success with.  Feel free to also contact your preferred credit union or bank, especially if you do not live in Oregon or Southern Washington.  Please note that most credit unions have county/state or regional residency requirements for applicant or an applicant family member to qualify.  Going to school at The Art of Makeup may qualify you for a loan with some of these referrals.  For reference The Art of Makeup is located in Multnomah County.

Check with your banking institution for more personal loan information and rates.

The Art of Makeup is unable to accept government or military financial aid programs at this time.
