Fashion Makeup Summer Camp 2024 (4-days)

Open to all ages 12! – Space is limited

This is our first time offering a Summer Makeup Camp dedicated to the most exciting and creative trends in fashion makeup. Learn the skills to be a runway fashion makeup artist and then strike the pose at our in-house pro photo studio. Strut your stuff down our in-class runway as you show off your makeup skills at the end of the week. Parents are invited to watch the runway show. No pressure, students can always opt out of the runway show. Students will receive digital files of all pictures taken throughout the week.

The Art of Makeup’s Fashion Makeup Camp is the perfect and low-priced introductory program for those considering makeup artistry as a career or simply for fun. Each day includes a lecture, demonstration, and hands on application. A Certificate of Training and photos of your work will be provided.

Our hand selected custom Summer Makeup Camp Kits are specifically designed for this program and include some of the same items from our Professional Beauty Makeup Artistry Kit and Out of the Kit FX Kit. Supplies can be credited towards kits of future program enrollments.  Kits are optional, but please review the list of what is needed for each camp if you choose to purchase supplies on your own.  A $50 kit rental fee is also an option for each Summer Camp.

Topics covered include:

Day 1 – Trends in fashion makeup: Glossy lids, halo eyeshadow, and cut crease

Day 2 – Color, Glow & Shimmer: Glossy lips, shiny skin, and shimmery lids. We’ll break out the brightest colors and our most sparkly glitter, because glitter makes everything better.

Day 3 – 1950’s and 1960’s classic vintage makeup looks. Bring your vintage wardrobe for some fun pictures!

Day 4 – Students will sketch an original high fashion creative design to prepare for working on a fashion show, and practice their favorite looks. This last day will commence with a fashion runway show for parents and peers. Everyone is welcome to attend!

This Workshop will be held at the Lakewood Theater in Downtown Lake Oswego.
