Corrective Beauty

The knowledge of corrective beauty techniques is required of all makeup artists, whether pursuing film, television, photoshoots, runway, theater, media, special events, or special fx makeup. The foundation of makeup artistry is taught in this class by first learning the fundamentals of color theory, lighting, skin tone matching, makeup application techniques, highlighting and contouring, face, nose, lip, and eye shape corrective techniques, natural, classic, and dramatic beauty applications using a variety of techniques, tools, and products. Sanitation, skin preparation, and product knowledge are also thoroughly reviewed.
