Corrective Beauty

The knowledge of corrective beauty techniques is required of all makeup artists, whether pursuing film, television, photoshoots, runway, special events, or special fx makeup. These essential concepts are also foundational for other areas of study, such as decade or stage makeup.

• Color theory, lighting, and skin tone matching
• Highlighting and contouring as well as face, nose, lip, and eye shape corrective techniques
• Natural looks, including no makeup looks and glowing skin
• Classic looks, including individual lash application
• Dramatic looks, including smokey eyes and strip lash application
• Sanitation and skin preparation
• How to use a variety of techniques, tools, and products
