This month The Art of Makeup School students are published in 2 magazines! TearSheet PDX is a beautiful fashion magazine that is locally created and published by makeup artist Melanie Jackson. Artists from around the world submit their work for publication, but local artists are prioritized, and she mixes in a combination of fine art, interviews and this month is featuring The Art of Makeup student special fx work! We are grateful to Melanie for including us in her beautiful magazine this month, and we look forward to collaborating again in the future.
You will see the work of two conceptual photographers that often lean toward the dark side in their work, Dan Baram and Kate Woodman. This isn’t the first time internationally known conceptual photographer Kate Woodman is published, but it is for our students! It is an exciting opportunity for them to embellish their professional portfolios and resumes to help them get work. You can see and download the online issue for free and/or purchase a hard copy issue here or see all the issues on the magazine website TearSheetPDX
You will notice half way through that the magazine is upside down! This is on purpose. The magazine comes with 2 covers and you read front to middle from both sides of the magazine. If you are reading it on MagCloud, there is a little arrow on the top of the page you can click on to reverse the images. You will find credits below, and if you want to know more about our other magazine publication, Vuez , you’ll have to keep your eyes open for the next blog!
