Program Dates:  March 6-May 26, 2023 (12-weeks to complete)

This is the first and only time in 2023 we will be offering this condensed version of The Multimedia Master Program, which includes our Character & Special FX Makeup Certificate Program.  The Multimedia Master Program will be offered as an intensive 12-week program extending 4 day weeks to 5 days, so we can fit more lessons in less weeks. 5 day weeks will allow lessons to build upon each other more efficiently with not a minute to waste! For those interested in taking only our beauty classes, we will still be offering Fashion and Makeup Artistry Essentials Completion Certificates.  Airbrush Makeup will be offered as a one-day weekend workshop.  Inquire for more details.

This program offers the essential foundations of makeup artistry covering beauty, fashion, decade, hair styling, out of the kit fx, film, and stage makeup classes that are needed to pursue a career in both the beauty industries and film and stage character makeup. These core courses are also necessary to those seeking a career in special fx makeup, which also requires knowledge of basic beauty techniques, hair and wig styling, stage makeup, and out of the kit fx when a lab is not required. For those students primarily interested in learning fx makeup, we highly recommend taking the full Multimedia program unless having had previous education or experience in beauty and hair styling basics. If requesting acceptance into only the Character & Special FX Program, images of previous experience will be required.

The shortened Multimedia Master Program will allow for reduced tuition, less supply costs, and shortened stay for students attending The Art of Makeup from out of town. As always, programs include a Completion Certificate, job board membership and mentoring, discounts on major brand supplies, 3 hours of marketing classes, and professional photo shoots for portfolio building and social media promotion.

We are excited to welcome back Kevon Ward from SYFY channel’s popular TV show, Face Off. This will be his 3rd time traveling from Denver, CO to teach our Character & Special FX Makeup Program. We are very lucky to have him. Our beauty and hair styling instructors are experienced working free-lance hair and makeup artists with knowledge of current product supplies and makeup techniques.
